Children’s Ministry Mission Statement

Celebration! Station exists to partner with parents to train up children to know and love God, experience His Son, and engage His Word.

Vision Statement

We aim to accomplish this by

  • giving parents the principles and tools that they need to teach and disciple their children
  • providing Bible-focused and purposeful teaching and childcare on Sunday evenings
  • ensuring that volunteers are qualified, having met specific safety requirements, and who are committed to upholding the church’s covenant
  • creating a classroom environment that is safe, nurturing and age appropriate.

What to expect (on Sundays):

The Station is open from 9:45am – 11:45am each week

The Station has two rooms designated for 0 – 2yrs and  3-8yrs each week. Generally we encourage kids 8yrs and older to sit in the main service with the grown-ups.

On a typical Sunday at the Station, children start together with their families in the main service. Then at some point during the first music set, we invite the children to follow our teachers and volunteers and join us for read a Bible story, to participate in various activities and visit different “stops” throughout the morning that teach and emphasize the importance of the Bible story.

Stops along the Sunday journey may include arts and crafts, games, puzzles, dress up, songs and more! We also provide a nut-free snack for the kids to keep everybody fueled for the journey.

Important Dates & Destinations:

Throughout the year, C!Station loves to be involved in the Alta Vista and Old Ottawa East communities and serve our neighbours as we work alongside other groups in the area. Look around because C!Station is on location at all sorts of events — so stop by to get your face painted, do a craft, or just say “hi”! We look forward to meeting you!
