Abiding in Christ means drawing our very life from Him—receiving His word, His love, and His joy as the Vine who sustains us. The Father, as the faithful Vinedresser, both cuts away the fruitless and cultivates the fruitful for greater growth. True discipleship is a life of remaining in Jesus, bearing lasting fruit, and living as His friends through responsive, obedient love.
